The Innarah Challenge

I was on Facebook one day, and I received a message from a friend of mine who lives in San Francisco, Anita Rivas. She likes to reach out to me when she has something that has anything to do with fashion, or beauty, as she is very aware of my passion/obsession.

Anita knows that I’m a long time PCA user, and that I have been very loyal to this brand for several years. Her message was very brief and to the point, “I am sending you this new skin care line by Innarah that I want you to review, you will love!” I am not a big fan of change, especially when it comes to my skincare regimen, but she has never steered me wrong.

I typically don’t like to review products for friends, because I’ll always give my honest feedback, and that can hurt feelings. She was so animate about the results that I reluctantly agree, and had to see for myself. A week later I received my Innarah goody bag of test products that included a treatment mask, line smoothing treatment, and the repair moisturizer … here we go!

I’m sometimes scared of certain masks, because I break out after, which is the point, as they work to unclog pores. I still agreed to do it, so now I was committed. After I shaved, I applied the mask evenly over my face, and allowed it to dry. I keep it on for 15-20 minutes, as I want it to work, but I also love that tight feeling on my skin. I then get in the shower, and allow the steam to hit it for a few minutes, followed by a rinse.  Ok, so far easy.

After my shower is completed, it’s time to apply the next product that is part of their daily routine. I love line smoothing products, and at 41…I mean 21, I welcome anything that can keep me looking young … haha. This product is a milky white, and comes with a teardrop type applicator. I noticed the effect of this product immediately after applying, and that got my attention!

I allowed the line smoothing treatment to dry completely before applying the moisturizer. I opened this product up, and noticed a “shovel type” piece of plastic that aids in the extraction of the cream. It’s a cool gadget, but I found it unnecessary in the application process. That’s at least, my personal opinion. The first thing I noticed about this moisturizer is that it left my typically very oily skin with a nice matte finish. It feels a little heavy to the touch, but goes on with a very light feeling. I’m not a big fan of heavy face moisturizers, but this made me feel protected, without that “heavy, I am going to wake up to a big blemish feeling!”

Overall after 8 weeks of use, I have to hand it to Anita, she knows her stuff. I’m very impressed, and Innarah has become part of my must haves for personal use. I have oily, sensitive skin, and I have not had any issues. In fact, quite the opposite, as my skin looks and feels better than it has in a long time. All of the products are very impressive, but my “I cannot live without” nod goes to the mask. I use it 3-4 times a week, and with my skin type, it has really had a dramatic effect. I notice that my pores feel tighter, and are less congested, resulting in a very healthy appearance. Check them out yourself! www.innarah.com
